A survey website is a company that you register with to answer questions for research companies and brands that need consumers’ feedback and opinion about new products or services before they launched. They need to know if you will be interested to buy those products, or services to find out how many customers might buy them to determine the profit they might gain out of those products and services.

Sometimes the products or services are already on the market, but the companies need some feedback to improve them to sell more. Those research marketing companies reach out to survey websites to advertise the surveys with them and pay them for each survey completed. Then the survey website forwards them to you when you register with them to answer questions based on your geolocation, or some surveys can be for worldwide consumers. When you answer the surveys you get a voucher or cash.

Is Doing Surveys Online Worth It?

I have registered with many survey websites to test them, but I didn’t make much money, Why? Because those websites that you see on other blogs are affiliates who work under an affiliate network.

The money you get paid to answer those surveys is a lot less than what they (survey websites) earn from the research companies, eg; If the actual price for a survey is $10 you will get from 0.40 cents to $1.50. Also, some of them don’t even pay you after you reach the threshold amount. So you might spend half an hour per day answering questions, but you will not get your money in the end.

How Can You Make Money With Surveys?

The only way you can make money with surveys is to register directly with the market research companies. You might need to register with more than one, and you will not get as many surveys as you will get with the survey websites, but you will be paid more (up to $50) and you will get paid on time.

You will not make a fortune taking surveys, but you can make a side income if you find a legit market research company. There is another type of research you can make money with, which is called Focus Group. You can make between $100 and $300 with Focus Group. With Focus Group the research is done over the phone, video call, and/or face to face.

How To Find Market Research Companies?

You can find them by searching on google, or through affiliate networks. You need to make sure that these networks are the oldest networks as some new networks are sub-affiliated. You can also find some in magazines and newspapers.
